Tuesday we stayed around the park. A little bit of exploring and familiarizing ourselves with the laundry and other facilities. We walked to the Medina River which is about half a mile down a path. It is pretty shallow where we can access it, but the water is clear and cold. It doesn't appear to be floatable where we are.
I got the picture of our "set-up" as I said I would. I didn't put on all the lights, but that still might happen.
The deer come up every afternoon into the park. I have found that the residents feed them so they come around without fear.
In the evening we entertained Teddy and Becky in The SS.
Lela prepared Chicken Cordon Bleu.
It was veeerrryyy good. We sat around and talked all evening.
Wednesday we went to Bandera to visit the Frontier Times Museum.
It turned out to be very interesting and we spent about two hours in there. They had many artifacts from the early days of the frontier.

I had to include this one.
Sheriff of Bandera County 1932 to 1951
We has lunch at Sid's BBQ on main street. It is a converted Exxon gas station. Lela and I had a brisket sandwich. It was good but it isn't Fat Daddys.
After lunch we drove around the area and ran across a dude ranch where we are having a meal on Monday. The wildlife around here is pretty interesting to see.
This is a historic building we saw listed in the museum
It is the first inn in the area.
a field of deer
Gobblers
We returned to the park and rested the rest of the evening.Thursday morning Teddy and I each needed to refill propane to run the furnace, so we went into town. The weather has improved to about 55 degrees and sunshine so we elected to stay at the park and soak up some sun. We were all beginning to get cabin fever for lack of sunshine.
We "picnicked" outside for lunch just soaking up the sun.
The leather hat
Unpacked my clubs
After lunch we walked back down to the river and took a few more pictures.

Today, Friday, I'm joining the group for golf. I'll try to post more regularly.
