Happy new year to all who follow this blog. I pray that 2020 will bring health and prosperity to all of you.

Lela and I were able to bring in the new year at “real” midnight. We can’t remember the last time we did that. We ate junk food and partied hearty with our daughter Noel and son in law Patrick and his mother Joyce.

Fireworks set the field on fire briefly but Patrick stomped it out.

Today’s menu includes black eyed peas for health, cabbage for prosperity and wealth and pork for good luck. I hope it all works.

We also had a little Christmas. G’pa got a yard of skittles.
