For those who have been following the blog, we are "almost" well. I figured that I am on day 15 and Lela is three days behind.  We managed to get out for a little while and visit with one of our neighbors.  We have been pretty much indoor people since we arrived here.

I have been the shopper in chief, which is not the best title for me, as I don't know what is a bargain.  I guess if I shopped regularly I could learn, or maybe not.

Since we got here I decided to take down our tree which we were so proud of for the past two years.

It was half dead and it was a mess.  Our neighbor, Harold, was out in 108 degree weather last summer trying to stake the tree again.  It would get leaned over to the ground and not break the trunk. So rather than rely on Harold (86 years old) to worry about my tree...it is gone.

I played golf with the league yesterday and played feast or famine on the front nine (5 pars and 4 double bogeys with 2 penalty shots) for a 43.  Then the back nine was 4 pars and five bogeys with 1 penalty shot for 42 for a total 85.  All in all I am playing pretty well for not having played for three months. Even if I was playing poorly, our weather has been great.

Lela and I drove up to Sun City this morning to run an errand for Ron. It was about an hour and a half drive but it was after traffic.  Lela enjoyed being out of the house.  We went to look over a race car that Ron wants to buy and he asked that we go there and look it over for his peace of mind.

Gary and Louise, from Idaho, brought Lela a piece of red lava from Idaho.  They talked about collecting rocks last year so Gary brought her the lava. I'm sure it will find a place of honor somewhere.
We really haven't done anything to our lot this year, so maybe this will get us going as we get well.

Hopefully we will be able to make an appearance at our church this weekend.  Our friends there are wanting to see us.
