March 2, 2017 Thursday AM

Last Friday, Lela, as usual, Went to her aerobic class.  She has been really faithful to that class.  The water aerobics has been put on hold as the pool had to be drained and refilled and the weather hasn't been conducive to the pool. I can't remember what I did on Friday but I think I rested up from the rock work.
We ordered a cabinet door to match our kitchen cabinets and had to go to Casa Grande, AZ (55 miles) to get it.
As in most kitchens there is that one space that is practically in unusable.  We had plans to make that space available.

Saturday Lela went to a class in a nearby neighborhood with some ladies from the park to learn to make greeting cards.  While she was gone I planted two more plants in front of the ranch and repaired the stone wall.  It seems that one of the residents in the park had crashed his car into the pavers before we got to AZ.  Our lot is looking pretty good.  We receive many compliments from the neighbors.

Sunday, we attended church, as we usually do. After church we had lunch with our church friends Ross, his daughter Shannon and Kevin at Kona Grill in Gilbert AZ just a couple miles from church.  http://www.konagrill.com/ Then I think we came home and visited with neighbors.  There is always something to be done to help one another in the park.

Monday was a rainout so I made my final preparations to install the cabinet door.  Then it was off to Home Depot ( I should buy stock in that company). I bought "almost" everything I needed.  As usual, one of the neighbors provided the finish nails I had forgotten.

Lela rode her bike through the raindrops to go to her class, and then later walked to the clubhouse to help with the quilters.

Tuesday, Lela went to exercise while I pondered knocking a hole in the wall.  The gravity of this job was not lost on me. So I cut the hole in the drywall.  As is true with Murphy's law, I found electricity and a 2 x 4 in the hole.  Nothing ever goes according to plans.  So I dealt with the problems and built my frame, stained it to match the door, installed it, and as they say "a good time was had by all". Actually, there was a LOT of cleanup due to dust from cutting drywall, but once that was accomplished we were happy to admire the door and the added storage space.

Wednesday, yesterday, Lela went to the weekly park meeting while I went to my golf league. I had a much better day than last week.  My score was 42-39 for a total 81, my low score for the season.  I missed a hole in one by less than an inch.
I have been that close three times in my life but have never gotten one to roll in.

While I golfed, Lela and Brenda, another golf widow on Wednesday, got together and went shopping.

Then in the evening we went back up to Gilbert, AZ for our bible study. Nothing is too close to where we live.  We spend a considerable amount of time in transit.

This morning Lela again went to her class and is in the process of doing laundry. She is headed out to get some groceries as we have invited some neighbors to a cookout on Saturday.  I am still deciding on my plan for the today, but I think I'll be planting cactus near the back wall.  Lela has been collecting plants from some people in the park, so I think some digging in the yard is in my near future.
A cloud formation I found interesting

From the Valentine party.
We still "got it."
