Wednesday evening

The weather at home is supposed to be -2 degrees tonight.  We thank God we are in a warm place and we pray you are too.

Today Lela and I took care of the laundry which had been piling up.  If you hang laundry to dry it doesn't take much time. The humidity here is 7 and the dew point is 2.

After laundry we went to the Goldfield Ghost town.  It is nearby and is quite a tourist area.

There are a lot of things to see there.

There was entertainment on the deck.  A woman named Paula Erlene.  She grew up in Branson, MO.

When we got home the neighbors were outside having happy hour and asked us to join them.  We sat outside enjoying the conversation until the sun went down and the air became chilly.

There is a cat loose in the park and it has taken up residence near the Silver Star.  One of our neighbors complained, so there is a cat trap under the SS.  While we were at the neighbor's the cat went into the trap and the door closed on it's back and the cat backed out of the trap.  Stayed tuned for further developments.

Last night the park sponsored some entertainment.  Dave Karl, he was a Kenny Rogers look and sound alike.

He was pretty good. After the first half of his show, which was all Kenny Rogers tunes, he did several other impersonations of country singers which were also very good.  His Elvis left something to be desired, but was still entertaining.

They awarded two door prizes which were CDs of Dave Carl's impersonations.  Lela held a winning ticket so we now have a CD of Dave's work.
