I hooked up the Silver Star (SS) in a pretty good rain event.  I was thankful to be on concrete at the church parking lot in our neighborhood.

We loaded up and got away at about 9 AM and drove in the rain for about 90 minutes before we drove out from under the storm.  The sun was shining when we arrived in Bandera, TX. We are at the
skyline Ranch RV Park.

We hooked up all the services and met a couple neighbors.  Teddy and Becky, our friends from Tupelo, MS, are parked next to us.  Teddy lended a hand in the leveling of SS.

There are deer all over the place here.  Even in town they roam around with the people.  I think I better be wary as I drive around.  I don't need a "deer event."

We located the Bandera Church of Christ and headed there for evening worship.  It is a nice congregation of about 100 members.

After worship we were directed to a local restaurant, The Old Spanish Trail.  It is a historic building in the "downtown" area.  The food was good and we agreed to return at another time for another meal.
If you can enlarge this it tells the history of the building

Belly on up and have a "seat."

This is the dedicated John Wayne Room

Then it was back to SS, turn on the electric blanket and watch TV in a warm bed.  The weather is a little on the chilly side, but is improving this week.

Lela is working on getting everything "set up" and homey.  She took a tumble this morning as she tripped over a stool and fell against a chair.  She is still assessing her injury.
