Tuesday AM

Today is our last day in Casa Grande.
We are pretty much packed, closed up and ready to leave tomorrow at about 9AM.  I have taken all the outside stuff down and packed it away so all I need to do in the morning is utilities and running gear.

Lela is cooking food (Angel Food Cake and strawberries ) to take to Paul & Christy's as they have everything packed and waiting to move into their NEW HOUSE!!!
Four Bedrooms upstairs, laundry upstairs, and a view of the
Superstition Mountains from the master bedroom.

If you use the for sale sign as a reference, you can see from the first picture that there is a huge park adjoining their property.everything seems to be ideal  There is also a very nice back yard, about then size of my old house on Kostka Ln..  More pictures will be forthcoming.

That is why we were scouting new parks in the Queen Creek area.  I have been wanting to blog about the suspense of waiting for loan approval and inspections and all that goes with a purchase of this type, but I didn't want to jinx anything by counting chickens before they hatched!

G'pa was going to BBQ, but it makes more sense to buy Little Caesar's as we are not sure what the schedule is today.  We don't have the keys to the new place in Queen Creek as yet.  The loan papers were signed on Saturday, but the legal transfer of property wasn't filed until yesterday (we think).  So it is kind of a waiting game.

I think that as soon as we get access to the property, we will go there and clean the house before moving anything in there.  We thought we would be able to help with the move, but because of the delays, we will be on our way to Bullhead City when Paul gets the truck on Wednesday.

Lela had a small plant garden growing here.
These will be packed carefully and carried home.
The prickly Pear shown here is a leaf broken off from a "tree" in La Feria where we parked. I stuck it into some cactus dirt and it managed to flower.  I don't know if it will survive Missouri, but I Am going to give it a try.

Sunday, we went to church again at the same congregation where we have been for the past month.  Then we returned home and wait for any word about getting the keys to the house.  No word came, so we were home all day.  We returned later to Mi Amigo, Ricardo's for dinner.  Then it was couch time and movies.

Yesterday, Monday, we started packing and putting things away in The Silver Star as we didn't know the schedule for the house Keys.  They didn't come.

Lela had volunteered to bring supper, which she did, ( pizza casserole, salad, bread and iced brownies)..  Christy was packing last minute things and the boys had broken down their beds and boxed up their belongings.  It was still a waiting game.

I mentioned in the last entry about Grammy coming to get her dog Paco, but I had forgotten about the picture I took, so I am posting it now.
