Thursday Morning

Spring arrives in just 52 minutes!  I am sure the Midwest is anxiously awaiting the arrival.

I have trouble recreating the week when I don't make frequent entries. It is always...what did we do last Monday?

Monday was St. Patrick's day.  Lela went to the morning exercise class while I rested on the couch.  In the afternoon we did return to Paul & Christy's house.  They seem to be recovered from their colds.  Christy made a lasagna and we visited until about 9 PM.

Tuesday was a golf day for me.  I played at Francisco Grande.

It was built as a spring training facility for the San Francisco Giants some years ago, but was abandoned because it was too far out in the country and the fans didn't come to the games.  I didn't play very well but still managed 44-44 for an 88.  I only had 4 fairways and 35 putts.  I am getting worse instead of better.

Lela went to the pool and visited with the ladies while I was golfing.  In the evening I BBQd some pork chops and we couched to watch movies until bedtime.

Yesterday, Wednesday, we met Bob and Adrianne for lunch in the San Tan Valley.

Lela worked for several years with Bob. We went to San Tan Flats, it was an interesting place with a western motif. 

We had a great visit, as we always have with them.  Wonderfully sweet friends.

Then it was off to Paul's house where I was commissioned to hang a new ceiling fan in Courtney's bedroom. 

That went well with the exception of one blown circuit breaker.  No one was injured in the installation.

Christy had some pulled pork sandwiches and everyone ate and was happy.  We stayed long enough to watch some Fox News Channel and then headed home.
