January 28, 2020 Tuesday afternoon

I see it has been more than a week since I posted.  I hope I can remember that far back.

We attended the Gold  Canyon church again on both Sundays since the 17th.  Last Sunday the congregation was invited to the home of one of the elders for lunch.  We are meeting a lot of new people and are enjoying it very much.

Last Wednesday Lela went with a group from the park to Organ Stop Pizza.  https://organstoppizza.com/ It is quite a destination.  They boast a Wurlitzer organ on par with the Fox Theater.  It comes up through the stage like the Fox and is quite the impressive instrument.

Our regular Wednesday golf league was cancelled last week due to a tournament in conjunction with The Phoenix Open which opens here on Thursday.  My friend Ross is working on getting us tickets for Friday.  Therefore, several of us went to play at Johnson Ranch golf club. I shot 89 on a difficult desert course.  I was somewhat pleased with my game that day.  https://www.johnsonranchgc.com/

On Saturday we golfed at Las Colinas in Queen Creek. http://www.lascolinasgolfclub.com/ It is not as picturesque or as difficult.  I shot 85 and was not very happy.

Saturday we went to the clubhouse to see a Johnny Cash / Willie Nelson and friends entertainer.  We had a good time and the guy was "pretty good".

 Hi, I'm almost Johnny Cash

Johnny became Willie after the break.

We have spent a lot of time sitting outside and visiting with our neighbors. We have developed some very good friends here.  We have also spent time watching the impeachment proceedings. When we are burned out on politics there is Turner Classics on demand and Amazon Prime for old movies.
