March 18, 2019  Monday

Well, I guess I've fallen behind on my blogging again.  I think it is just laziness on my part.  It has been almost three weeks since my last post.  Time flies when you are having fun.

Our weather has finally turned the corner here.  We are expecting 80's for most of this week.  Cool temperatures, rain and wind have been in abundance here this winter. I can just hear all my Midwest friends feeling sorry for us.

Going back to March 1, we finally had reasonable enough weather to have a happy hour on our patio.

When the sun got low we turned on the propane heater Lela bought this year.
It was toasty!

It was pretty effective. We broke up at about 9 PM.

March 6th was golf.  I am still very inconsistent.  My front nine was 38 and I began to have visions of grandeur, but it all came crashing down on the back nine for 45 (83). Someday I will get it all together...or not.

Tim and Tracy, our friends who moved to Mojave, AZ,  came to visit on the 11th. Lela and Tracy worked together and Tim and I played ball together. We have been to their house a couple times but this is their visit here.

Tracy brought Lela a combination birthday / Christmas gift wrapped in two kinds of paper.

As you can see, it is a roadrunner made from silverware and knives and other kitchen utensils mounted on a circular sawblade.

She really loves it and has been showing it off to all the neighbors.

We took them to Apacheland, which is an old movie set from the 60's. http://superstitionmountainmuseum.org/attractions/apacheland-barn/

From there we traveled over to the Goldfield mining ghost town.

We have been there a few times, but it is always fun with visitors.  The mountains are really spectacular there.

The next day, 13th, we got tickets to then Arizona Opry, also known as Barleens. https://www.barleensdinnershow.com/

We had a great time with some wonderful friends.

Saturday evening we went to Ross and Laura's park for a show.
It was all amateurs from their park and was very entertaining.  Ross was the star of the show. I have video but no stills, sorry.

We were behind this car on Sunday on our way home from church and had to get a picture. What are the odds of two GiGi Roberts?
