March 24, 2017 Friday AM

We don't remember what we did on Monday, but I am guessing we just puttered around the ranch. I do know that Lela went to her aerobic class.  I talked to John about some damage to our yard art, which happened at the year end party over the weekend.  He was in the process of having it repaired.
Lela did laundry from the Tombstone weekend.

Tuesday Lela went to her class. I proceeded to build two benches for Christy.  They have a picnic table which needed benches, so that was my project for the day.  They turned out pretty well, but I didn't get a picture.

In the evening we had our friends from Nebraska, Ray and Cathy over for dinner.  Ray was one of the men who helped me spread the twenty tons of rock on our yard.  Cathy exercises with Lela in the mornings.

We had a very nice visit with them.  Ray was excited to have a roast with potatoes and gravy.  He said it was his favorite meal.  Needless to say, he had seconds.

Wednesday was my last golf day here.  I went out with a pretty good round.  I had three birdies in my round, two were back to back.  (44-38 for a total 82)  The 38 on the back nine is one over par, and I bogeyed 18 or I would have been  par on back side.  My partner Scott shot 76 which was his best round for the season.

Lela went to the park meeting in the morning.  In the afternoon she picked up Brenda, Scott's wife, and they went rock hounding at the edge of the desert.  Neither of them wanted to go too deep as the snakes and scorpions worry them.  Then they had lunch at the "Salsa Lady."

Yesterday, Thursday, we worked a little bit in the yard.  There were some plants that needed to be repotted and we accomplished that. I built a border around our Aloe plant using some bricks we already had.  It was a cold (65 degrees) and windy day with rain in the AM. Lela placed her rocks in the yard where she wanted them.

We have decided to head to Texas next Wednesday for Noel's race, so we have begun the process of packing and shutting things down here.

Lela went to exercise this morning and is doing laundry as I write.  We are expecting Ross and Laura over tonight for a rib fest on the grill.  There will probably be a picture or two of that on the next blog.
The Lemon tree is recovering and has a lot of blossoms.
Someone will harvest the lemons while we are gone.

Bongainvillea
These bushes were just sticks when we put them in last year.
It just shows what a little TLC can accomplish
