Happy Groundhog Day
Friday Jan 30, we stayed in the park, did laundry and cleaning. I made a couple repairs and we just sat outside and relaxed. Lela and Becky went into town and shopped the local stores. Lela finally found a concealed carry purse and some other souvenirs.
Saturday Jan 31, was a rainy day. We stayed home and watched movies. We didn't even take out the trash and take our walk around the park. It is pretty dreary sitting among the trailers and motorhomes when no one is moving around.
Sunday Feb. 1, was a bonus day. The sun came out in the morning and the temperature rose to the upper 70's. It was supposed to rain and be cold with clearing late in the day. We attended worship services at the Bandera Church of Christ at 11:00 and returned to the park.

We had lunch outside and decided to go to elsewhere for our walk. We looked at the city park and drove on farther into the countryside to a state nature area to see what was there.
The rain yesterday had messed up the trails so it was decided to return to the city park and walk the trail along the Medina river.

The weather turned cooler so we came home to watch the Super Bowl. We didn't feel like cooking so I went to Church's Chicken for carry out. I didn't care who won the game but Lela and I both ended up rooting for Seattle.
Today was Italian day at the Mayan Ranch.
We stopped at the courthouse and went inside.
The county collector's husband took us on a tour of the building and gave us some "inside" history. We were just lucky to find him there. He unlocked the courtroom so we could look around.
The building dates to the 1890's.
Now we are back at the park inside the Silver Star. I think we are going to town for some snack supplies as I ate everything that wasn't tied down on the rainy day.
We are trying to make some plans for the rest of the week as Teddy and Becky are leaving for home on Friday.
