Sunday evening
There hasn't been much activity here as far as getting out and doing things. We went to the Casa Grande Church of Christ this morning for worship. It is a nice congregation with nice facilities. There were about 75 present for services. The building is about 5 miles from the park.
Afterwards we picked up some hot dogs and buns and headed to Paul's house. The boys are very active all the time, riding bikes (thanks Jeff, Gloria and the boys), and skateboarding. We were sitting outdoors in the front of the house watching the boys, but it wasn't comfortable as the temperature was in the 60's. Paul was off work all weekend so we tried to spend some time with him and his family
Our awning suffered some damage in the storm which came through last night. I will be hunting for a part necessary to do the repair. I hope it is available locally. If not it will be an internet purchase.
Friday I played golf in a foursome with Richard, Glenn and Larry at San Miguel GC.

I started with two penalty shots (out of bounds) on hole #1 but got it together a little bit and finished 45- 42 for an 87. I hope to improve on that next Friday.
Lela cleaned the Silver Star and sunbathed at home with a book. We spent the evening with movies on the couch.
Saturday was a cold raw day by Arizona standards. A rainstorm came through, which ended a 70 day drought. The official amount was 1.21 inches. That broke the old record of .68 inches in one day. Many activities outdoors were cancelled. They called for wind gusts up to 60MPH. Maybe that is what happened to the awning.
We were at Paul's house Saturday afternoon. Christy made oven spaghetti, Lela baked a cake and we all ate too much...again.
