Wow, April 23 was the last entry. This has truly been a busy summer. We are beginning to decide where to snowbird this winter and it is going to be 96 degrees here tomorrow.
I guess I'll just go through my pictures and try to recreate the missing months as best I can.
On April 12, Jared and Gen had a "reveal" shower to announce the gender of their upcoming arrival.
The pink filling in the cake revealed that a little girl was on the way.
Daddy was showing sympathy.
Daddy received a Daddy Doody Kit.
And then it was Easter.
At our morning Worship Service I was privileged to be in the pulpit to deliver the sermon.
We had a meal at Jeff and Gloria's house with the family.

On April 26th Austin took Paige to the prom as juniors.

On the 29th we traveled to Fayette to attend Cousin's Night at J J's Folly. Connie was our hostess.
A few of the revelers.
So much for April. Now we venture into May.
On May 10th Shelby Nichole attended her prom as a freshman after being invited by her friend Newton. It was a beautiful day and they had a great time.

Austin turned 17 on the16th of May. He had multiple cakes. We celebrated his birthday a few days later.

Mother's day was May 11. Again we had the family together at Gloria's.

May 24th is a day that will live in infamy. On this day in the morning, Anastasia Elizabeth entered the world and captured our hearts. Then in the evening Joey graduated from high school. What a full and exciting day!
Joey's graduation ceremony was in the evening at the Family Arena.
Proud Grandparents
Congratulations to the Graduate!
We are now into June and it is Father's day. It really seemed more like Grandpa's Day.
June 25th Noel and Patrick came for a long weekend to meet Ana.
We gathered at Gloria's house for a BBQ on the 4th of July. I remember we did enjoy some fireworks on Gloria's driveway and had a cigar with Jeff on the 4th.
A Girl Needs To Be Prepared For All Seasons!
We (mostly Grandma) did a lot of babysitting in July as Gen returned to work. Once she got her schedule straightened out, Jared became the main babysitter.
I could add another pic of Ana here but I can't choose which to add from several hundred pics I have.
Into August now and we celebrated Lela's birthday on the 10th and Genevieve's on the 11th.
That pretty much brings us up to date.
I have become the pulpit preacher on the fourth Sunday of each month. I look forward to that each month.
Lela is loving being "Granny" to a new baby.
Tomorrow, I begin a playoff in my golf league. I won my flight and will face the winner of the number one flight. Neither of us has ever been in a playoff. I am hoping I don't choke.
Here are some pics of the plants we bought over the winter and what they look like now.
This was a gift from Becky

Aloe nearly died a few times but has survived and is coming from its roots.
Remember this one ear of the cactus plant?
Here it is today

I'll try to be more faithful to the blog in the future.
